The colors used in this painting are very neutral. The space in the picture is showing a distance from the girl and the two houses. The texture of the grass is rough and the texture of the dress on the girl looks smoothish. The form of the painting is in the house and the barn in the distance showing dimension. The lines in the painting are seen in the tall grass also.
There is not a specific pattern in the painting. The contrast from the light colors in her dress to the dark colors in her grass is making her stand out more. The focal point for me in the painting is the girl. The movement from the girl to the rest of the painting starts by moving from the grass up to the building. The balance in the painting is not symmetrical but the painting is over all balanced because of the buildings in the background.
I think that the meaning of the artwork is that just because she is disabled physically doesn’t mean that she is disabled spiritually. The theme or the subject of the work is the little girl which was his neighbor. I don’t think that there is any color that shows a specific emotion or event. I think that the meaning is just that because she is disabled with polio doesn’t mean she is disabled in other ways.
My thoughts and feelings haven’t changed since the beginning. My first impression of the work was that it was very pretty and I liked the colors. The thing I like the most about the painting is the message behind the work. I don’t think there is anything I really dislike about the painting. My overall impression of the work is that it is okay.

    Describe:
In this picture the girl is staring at the house from afar.
The texture of this picture is portrayed through the grass and the girls dress. The color of the grass is a good color for grass. The value of the picture shows the difference of the color of the from the dress. The placement of where she is shows the distance from the house.
    Analyze:
The contrast of the picture is where the girl is away from the house, also the darkness of the house. My focal point is the girl, because she is much closer to me than the house. The proportion is displayed very well. The unity in this picture is nice, it all completes itself. There is not any variety.I like the choice of materials, they look very nice.
    Interpret:
I dont think there is any significant meaning behind this work. The theme is loneliness. The woman symbolizes struggle and polio. The meaning is he is a creeper on his younger neighbor, also, he thought this would be a good gesture.
    Evaluate:
Nope, I liked it from the start. I like the use of distance in the picture. I don't dislike anything. My overall impression is that it is good.
